Giving Glass a Second Life

...some simple ways to keep your jars and tubes around a little longer...
There’s something about a good glass container that’s hard to throw away.
Maybe it’s the weight of it. Or the way it doesn’t feel temporary. It did its job once, and it feels like it could do something else just as easily.
Our jars and pre-roll tubes weren’t meant to be disposable. And with a quick rinse, they’re ready for whatever comes next.
Nothing complicated. Just a few easy ways to keep them around.
The jars

They’re a nice in-between size—big enough to be useful, small enough to fit anywhere.
A few that just…work:
A couple flowers on a windowsill.
Nothing elaborate. Just a few stems. It changes the light in a room more than you’d think.
A pencil holder.
Simple, clean, and a little more solid than the usual cup. It feels good on a desk.
Kitchen extras.
Loose herbs, tea, or anything small you want to keep within reach but not scattered.
Bathroom basics.
Cotton swabs, hair ties, things that tend to drift. It keeps everything contained without looking cluttered.
They don’t need much. Just a rinse and a place to sit.
The pre-roll tubes

These are easy to overlook, but they’re kind of perfect for small, specific things.
One flower per tube.
Set a few together and it becomes something quiet and structured. You don’t need a full bouquet—just a few small pieces.
Plant cuttings.
They’re just the right size for a little water and a stem. Easy to move around, easy to watch.
Small storage.
Spices, loose herbs, anything you want separated out and easy to see.
If you line a few of them up—or drop them into a simple rack—they start to feel like a little display without trying too hard.
Or just…keep them
Not everything needs a purpose right away.
Sometimes it’s enough to hold onto something because it still works. Glass tends to do that. It sticks around. It stays useful.
A jar becomes part of a desk.
A tube ends up on a shelf.
A small thing finds a place to land.
Nothing major. Just a little less waste, a little more use, and a space that feels a bit more considered.
Some things stay useful. Some things just stay with you.
