Traced: Motorbreath 15
Sep 26th 2026
Motorbreath 15 (MB 15) did not come from a quiet or subdued family.
Its lineage is Chemdawg × San Fernando Valley OG Kush, which is basically gas mixed with diesel, held inside a fuel coated gas can.
And then there’s the 15 of it all.
Why 15?
We got nosy.
Chemdawg Has Entered the Chat
Chemdawg is one of those strains that shows up in cannabis history like it has a backstage pass.
Diesel. Chemical funk. Sharp fuel. Dankness with teeth.
You smell it and immediately understand why an entire vocabulary of gas, fuel, diesel, exists. The whole Chem D crew grew up in this neighborhood. They know a thing or two.
Chemdawg did not come here for dessert.
MB 15 gets one whole side of the family from that.
SFV OG Was Never Going to Calm Things Down
The other parent is San Fernando Valley OG Kush, usually shortened to SFV OG Kush.
Also not shy.
SFV OG brings classic OG territory: lemon-pine, pepper, earth, musk, and, because apparently we needed more of it, fuel.
Somebody looked at Chemdawg and thought:
Needs more gas... enter SFV OG Kush.
Chemdawg × SFV OG Kush = Motorbreath.
Honestly, the name feels inevitable.
About That 15
This is where things get fun.
Seeds from the same cross can grow into plants that express themselves differently. Same parents, slightly different kids.
One might lean harder into aroma.
Another might have better structure.
Another might just stand there being perfectly acceptable.
Breeders sort through them looking for the one worth keeping.
Those individual plants are often numbered during the process.
And somewhere in the Motorbreath hunt, #15 made the cut.
The number stuck.
So 15 is not the THC percentage.
It isn't Motorbreath's model year.
Nobody had to defeat Motorbreaths 1 through 14 first.
It was essentially a plant wearing a numbered name tag.
Then the name tag got famous.
Apparently, Fifteen Had It
This is one of our favorite parts of strain history.
A breeder can grow a whole group of siblings from the same parents and start hunting.
Smell them.
Grow them.
Watch them.
Probably stare at them for unreasonable amounts of time.
And eventually:
That one.
Motorbreath #15 became that one.
The selection people wanted to keep around, clone, pass along, and keep growing.
Eventually the number became part of the identity.
Motorbreath. Motorbreath 15. Motorbreath #15. MB 15.
One plant did a lot with two digits.
Nobody in This Family Is Pretending to Be a Berry
Some strain lineages take a little detective work.
You smell fruit, then dig backward six relatives trying to figure out who brought the mango.
Motorbreath 15 is not making us work that hard.
Chemdawg brings the chemical funk and diesel.
SFV OG Kush brings lemon-pine, pepper, earth, musk, and OG gas.
Motorbreath shows up smelling like...
Well.
Motorbreath.
Our batch runs diesel, sharp citrus, pepper, earth, and musk.
The family resemblance is doing just fine.
Somewhere in Gas Country
There is something kind of perfect about this cross.
Motorbreath 15 did not become memorable by escaping its lineage.
It leaned all the way in.
Chemdawg put diesel on one side.
SFV OG Kush pulled up from the other side of gas country.
Then #15 climbed in.
Nobody brought an EV.
No cake.
No candy.
No fruit basket.
Just two famously loud bloodlines, a whole lot of fuel, and one numbered plant that refused to lose its name tag.
Some family trees branch.
This one revs.
Motorbreath 15 has entered the Bliss family tree.
